Hitz provides choice and our facility’s amenities are focused exactly with that in mind. Our kitchen staff provides residents with extended meal times, optional menu choices and hot food available 24/7.  Residents have a choice to shower how and when they feel most comfortable, whether that be in bed with a sponge bath, in the shower or enjoying a relaxing whirlpool spa bath.  

For those residents who are unable to bring their beloved pets with them but still want to connect with animals, we have an indoor aviary, bird cage located in Shady Oaks and a resident house cat that resides in the Activity Room.  We also allow pets in our Independent Senior Living Apartments and our Private Suites located on the nursing home side.

We have a newly renovated library equipped with an internet connected work station available for resident use. And unlike other nursing homes, we provide a kitchen and dining area in our private suite wing for family’s to use with their loved ones.  There is also a beauty shop conveniently located in the building with an expert stylist available to cut, set, wash and color.

The building is equipped with the latest mechanical systems complete with emergency generators, fire detection with sprinkler system and central climate control. 

The grounds are quiet and beautifully maintained with visitor friendly assets. At Hitz Home we cater to all of our residents needs which included providing an outdoor swing for those who use a wheel chair.  We also have a Shelter House compete with bbq area located among our outside garden where residents can spend time outdoors reading, visiting with family members or just spending time in the peaceful outdoor setting.  Or we have a quaint gazebo for quiet reflection or smaller family gatherings.
